Troy Josephs had one point to lead the St. Michaels Buzzers to a 6-2 victory over the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.
St. Michaels kept Buffalo's goalie busy throughout the game, and Parker Gahagen made 26 saves on 32 shots.
St. Michaels also got points from Stephen Pietrobon, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for St. Michaels included David Italiano, who had one and CJ Shugart, who had two. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Jake Evans, who had two and Mike Lansdowne, Greg Allen, Joseph Berton, Matt Buckles, and Patrick McCarron, who each chipped in one.
The Jr. Sabres were helped by Pat Egan, who registered one goal. Egan scored on the power play 8:09 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Buffalo earned a power play opportunity when Evans was put in the box for interference. Dylan Howatt picked up the assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Alex Dagnal as well. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Max Mikowski, who had one.
Adrian Ignagni recorded 28 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Jr. Sabres incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
